About the event
H.C. Poornesha is a researcher at the Nature Conservation Foundation (NCF) in India, focusing on wildlife conservation within the Western Ghats programme. Based in Bangalore, he specializes in the ecology of the region's dry forests. Poornesha co-authored Land of the Honey Badger with Sanjay Gubbi, a bilingual photo essay book published in 2021, highlighting the biodiversity and human-wildlife interactions of the Cauvery - Malai Mahadeshwara Hills landscape in Karnataka. He has also contributed to research, including a 2015 study on tiger conservation, advocating for enhanced landscape connectivity and protected areas in Karnataka.
